Reviews · in their words
They expected
a candle.
They got a fire.
“My friends could not believe the amount of heat that came off from what is essentially a very large candle.”
4.71 average, across every review. What people write about first isn’t the design or the wax — it’s the heat they weren’t expecting. Below is what they actually said, trimmed for length and nothing else.

Burn times
Hours, not adjectives.
Here is what reviewers actually clocked — in their own words, including the one who thought the number was ambitious.
“Took about 20 mins to get going and then lasted for just over 6 hours with one ‘candle’”
“8 hour burn time ambitious we got about 6 1/2 out of the first candle. Good flame and heat for a small fire pit…”
“Refills are not that cheap but does last 8 hours and keeps you very warm.”
“Easy to light and relight.” — which is why most people count a refill in evenings, not hours. Lid on, flame out, light the rest another night.
How most people find it
Someone else lit one first.
Fourteen reviewers describe buying one after seeing someone else’s — or describe setting off somebody else’s purchase. Nothing else in the reviews repeats that often.

“Everybody that sees it comments and wants to know where to get it.”
“Purchased the ECOFUEGO fire pit after experiencing the item at a friend’s Bar B Q.”
“After a friend demonstrating his ECOFUEGO we just had to buy one!”
“We purchased the ECOFUEGO after using one while away camping with family.”
“When people have seen them working I know people have gone out and bought their own.”
“Bought one as we were so impressed with our nephews.”
“Had so many compliments”

Second orders
The best review
is a second one.
At least six reviewers own more than one — for the other end of the garden, for the van, or for somebody they’d already talked into it.
“We loved our first firepit so much we bought 3 more!”
“Now where shall I put my third Fuego fire pit!?”
“I now have two of the candles. One big and now one of the smaller ones to take away.”
“Just got a second one for my daughter who loves camping perfect and no wood smell on clothes.”

From people who’ve had one a while
Get the most out of yours.
The advice that turns up again and again in the reviews — including the parts we’d rather you heard from us than found out later.
Give it twenty minutes.
“Took about 20 mins to get going and then lasted for just over 6 hours…” A wax block isn’t kindling. The flame builds as the pool spreads — don’t judge the heat in the first five minutes.
A bit of kitchen roll helps it catch.
“I struggled to get it going at first but when I found out the trick to put a bit of kitchen roll on the fire, I was really impressed with the heat output!”
The lid is the off switch.
“You just slide the lid on to stop the flames and that’s it! No black smoke everywhere and nothing else to do.” Same lid, next time: take it off, light it, carry on.
Yes, there’s a little soot.
“There is a small amount of soot which comes off the fire. It gives off a fair amount of heat. Was a perfect addition to my outside entertainment area.” The top darkens with use — a wipe takes most of it off once it’s completely cool.
Order refills before you need them.
“The refills can be quite hard to get sometimes, so you’re best to order in bulk.” Buy two and the ladder discount starts; a subscription holds the price and the timing for you.
The flames go straight up.
“No need to worry about getting too close to the fire ‘just in case a wood stack moves or falls out’ as the flames are very much vertical…”
