If your fire pit has not reached full flame, or isn't lighting properly then you may have what we call a 'flooded wick'!

To solve this issue, ball-up a paper towel into the size of a golf ball, then place it between the drum and the centre wick while the fire pit is still lit.

1 out of 100 of our refills experience a 'flooded wick' so be patient if it isn't at full flame yet after lighting, it will only take a few more minutes to reach your desired heat and flame!

Yes, though be careful, only ever move your fire pit or reposition it whilst it is cooled down completely and the wax is entirely solid.

Like most fire pits, we suggest that when burning on grass or wooden decking (or on any surface) you put a heat resistant tile or an El Fuego Base under the burner to avoid it scorching.

No! We DO NOT recommend ever burning your fire pit inside. If there's walls, a roof or anything surrounding your fire pit trapping in by-products of burning your fire pit then your are putting yourself and others at risk!

Not to mention the fire hazards that are present when burning inside an enclosed space - even something covering over your heads, it isn't recommended at all.

We do not recommend it as they could tip over. Once they are placed into our 'burner' they are more secure and much safer.

Our genuine refill fuel is to be used with our own genuine fire pit products & accessories. Not to be used with anything else, and you can find our genuine fire pits, accessories & fuel here on our website!

The El Fuego fire pit is crafted from MGO composite, a durable material designed to withstand the intense heat produced by our fire candles.

What to Expect After First Use:
After your first burn, you may notice small cracks or bubbles on the surface. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the fire pit’s structure or performance.
Like chimeneas and ceramic ovens, some cracking is normal due to temperature fluctuations between hot and cold.

How to Maintain Optimal Performance:
To help regulate airflow and keep the fire pit cooler, we recommend extending the legs to their maximum height.
The Fire Drum, which fits into the top rim, helps protect the sides, enhances the flame, and keeps the unit looking neat.

A Natural Aging Process:
Over time, the fire pit’s top rim may develop some darkening due to exposure to flames. However, when the fire is out and you place the tabletop cover back on, this will not be visible.
Like a kitchen oven, a fire pit is meant to be used—it won’t always look brand new, but that’s part of its charm!

Due to the size of the flame when burning the fire pit; we do not recommend cooking anything over it as it can be dangerous.

Please refer to the warning labels on the box, and user manual in the fire pit box before using your fire pit.

If your product needs to be returned based on a change of mind and no longer wanting the product then please reach out to sales@ecofuego.com - upon return we will review the product - by arranging for the return and refund you for the full amount, minus the cost of shipping the goods back to us.

Unfortunately, we do not sell replacement handles at this time.

However, we recommend using a rust remover from any hardware store (such as Robert Dyas) and gently scrubbing the affected area. Alternatively, you can remove the handles and use the existing holes instead.

Do not worry! If you feel that you refill is broken DO NOT remove it from the paper. Just place it into the drum with the paper surrounding it and you will find that you can still burn it as normal!

If you have removed it from the paper your refill can still be used, just place each piece back into place, like a puzzle, into your drum of your fire pit, light the wick and wait for the wax to settle and burn!

Your refill is still going to burn hot and keep you relaxed no matter the damage!
